Overview

The CJ19 switching capacitor contactor is suitable for use in 50Hz AC power systems with a rated operating voltage of up to 380V/660V. It switches capacitors in low-voltage reactive power compensation equipment (capacitors up to 90kvar can be switched on and off) to improve the power factor. Its compact design integrates the main circuit and resistor switching circuit, making main circuit wiring easy. It is a commonly used contactor for controlling small-capacity capacitors.

The contactor features an inrush current suppression device, effectively reducing the impact of closing inrush current on capacitors. It can replace the traditional switching device consisting of three XD1 current-limiting reactors and one CJ10 contactor.

This product complies with standards such as GB/T14048.1, GB14048.4, GB14048.5, and IEC60947-4-1.

Product Features

The contactor is equipped with a current-limiting resistor to limit the closing inrush current to within the permissible range.

The contactor features a direct-acting, double-break structure, offering a flexible operating mechanism, easy manual inspection, and a compact design.

The contactor terminals are covered with an insulating cover for safety and reliability.

The contactor's contact system consists of eight contacts on two upper and lower levels, forming a three-pole main circuit. One contact in each pole is pre-connected. There are only two switching resistors. Because the capacitor bank is connected in a delta configuration, when the resistor switching circuit is connected, a resistor is connected to each phase capacitor circuit.

The contactor can be mounted with screws or snap-on to a standard 35mm or 75mm mounting rail. When the control circuit is energized, the contactor is closed, and the upper main contact connected in series with the current limiting resistor is connected before the lower main contact, thereby suppressing the inrush current. After completion, it is instantly disconnected and reset. During this period, the lower main contact enters normal operation, and the circuit is disconnected by the lower main contact. Each performs its own function. Because the current limiting resistor is connected instantly, it will not cause long-term power waste or burning of the resistor.
